The 4th annual Tender Tributes in the Berkshires celebrated the amazing work of our industry’s unsung heroes: certified nursing aides (CNAs), home health aides and personal care assistants.
These individuals are truly the backbone of exceptional care in nursing facilities and in the world of home care. Many of our partners joined us and event host, Kindred at Laurel Lake, to celebrate our finest. Representatives of each facility or agency read details from patient and coworker accounts of why each caregiver is so special. Each honoree received a “above and beyond” pin and a Tender Tributes certificate.
Receiving the top honor from the list of nominees was Patricia Meader from Berkshire Place.
An example of the anecdotes for each of these wonderful caregivers was the family representative who wrote about Porchlight’s nominee Sheila Crane, writing:
“…When my father passed away a year ago, Sheila continued to take care of my mother, who was always so happy to see her.
She continued to give so much of herself. Sheila is caring, conscientious, thoughtful, considerate, hardworking, and such a wonderful person.
My family would never be able to repay her for all she has done for our parents over the years. She has always gone ‘above and beyond.’
We are proud to pay tribute and to honor Sheila, she has always been considered a part of our family and she will continue to be part of our family…”
Congratulations to all the honorees! Thank you for your skills, your love and passion to serve our community with great distinction!
